Simplicity - Most of the best things you can ever offer someone are the most simple you can thing of. Imagine how an ordinary glass of water might be incredibly appreciated by some poor guy who just crossed the Sahara. That’s the thing about gifts. They are much more dependent on the context in which they were given than anything else.

Of course, in the situation I’m referring to now, there’s also the thing about welcoming you, giving you a guided tour of the most important places and sightseeing, taking you partying at night. But you never forget a toothbrush when you’ve been “brushing” your teeth with your finger for two days. Even if you carry it around in your pocket all night and use it to kill the birds inside the street signs that sing for the blind.

Thank you, girls.
